Talk about typical.<br/><br/>But seriously, thanks for the comment. I agree that the use of profanity in most posts is gratuitous, ham-fisted and utterly lacking in style or grace. However, in this case, I was actually moved to such explicitness by sympathy for the former President's situation in juxtapositon with the calousness of the Rep. Wamp's remark. <br/><br/>For the record, I do not hate my life. On the contrary I'm doing just fine thanks. In fact, I wouldn't mind at all if I was asked to do the responsible thing and help my neighbors and fellow Americans achieve the same sense of gratitude and freedom from worry enjoyed by the Bush family when facing such a health crisis. If that means putting in a couple of extra hours a week at the office, or cutting back on frivolous spending in my own life to help with the expense, so be it.<br/><br/>Whether you like it or not, you already support such a "socialist" health care system that provides for Barbara Bush, the members of the House and Senate, and countless others. But seriously, thanks for the comment. I agree that the use of profanity in most posts is gratuitous, ham-fisted and utterly lacking in style or grace. In the past we could be assured that the threat of mutual destruction would keep the players in check. That is no longer the case. Of course, in a town where everyone has a gun, who dares pull the trigger first? Hopefully this transition to a post-super power world will be relatively smooth. I am cautiously optimistic that we will survive as more nations other than our own have to grapple with their own national responsibility to the world as global partners in a nuclear age. That's not to say there won't likely be disasters and tragedies along the way; there almost certainly will be. However, these are not the days of our youth when the specter of global nuclear holocaust hung over us all. Unfortunately we’re progressing toward a world where there are no non-nuclear players.
